Mumbai. Apple's first retail store has been launched in India and it is open in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex ie BKC. The first official Apple Store for customers is now open at the Jio World Drive Mall in BKC. Apple's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tim Cook came to inaugurate the Apple Store in Mumbai on Monday and he inaugurated the store on Tuesday. After inaugurating the store, Tim Cook personally opened the store's doors and welcomed customers. Hundreds of Apple fans, customers and executives were present with him on this occasion. Hundreds of customers attended the inauguration of the first Apple Store in Mumbai and the store is spread over 20,000 square feet. There is so much craze for Apple's products among the people that even before the opening of the store, there has been a crowd of customers outside the store since 11 am. A team of 100 members will work for the customers in this store. So the customer service in this Apple store is going to be available in 20 languages. With this, the customers of the iPhone looked very happy.
We are so excited - Cook
At this historical occasion, CEO of the iphone making company, Tim Cook tweeted, "The energy, creativity, and passion in Mumbai is incredible! We are so excited to open Apple BKC — our first store in India." Notably,Cook reached India yesterday i.e. on Monday. After this he met Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani at his Mumbai residence i.e. Antilia. Apart from this, he met the famous people of the country yesterday in a private program before the opening of the Apple Store. He met the country's entertainment personalities like former cricketer Anil Kumble, actresses Madhuri Dixit, Raveena Tandon, Neha Dhupia and singer Armaan Malik.
Second store to open in Delhi on 20th April
The company will pay a monthly rent of Rs 42 lakh for the Mumbai store and a part of the profit will also be given to the store owner. After this, Apple has announced that after Mumbai, the country's second Apple Store will be opened in Delhi on April 20. Second Apple Store is going to open in Select City Walk Mall, Saket.
