Mumbai. The Work From Home culture started as the onset of Covid pandemic has now become an essential mode of working. In America, the employees are ready to work from home even for 18 percent less salary. And even after getting more salary, they are not ready to come to office and work. The situation is that 1 out of 3 employees who come to office one day in a week are ready to work from home for less salary. These shocking facts have come in a survey conducted by recruiting firm Robert Hoff. 2,500 employees and 2,100 hiring managers were included in this survey.
People want to Work From Home
Prior to this, a survey report by Job Site Indeed in March said that in 2019, the number of employees doing work from home was 5 percent of the total workforce in the US. In Covid induced period, this figure reached 60 percent. Now this number is 27 percent. According to a report, Robert Half's senior executive director Paul McDonald says that getting employees to work in the US has become a tough task. Significantly, in a survey report of job site Indeed in March 2023, some similar things came out. It was said in the survey report of Indeed that there are many employees in America who have now decided that they have to work from home.
Employees are happy working from home
It was revealed in the survey that one third of the employees are happy working from home. They feel that working from home has increased their productivity. Employees are also ready to work more hours happily while sitting at home. Now almost all companies have prepared a policy for work from the office, but many employees do not want to come to the office. It was also revealed in a resume builder survey that 9 out of 10 companies want their employees to come to work in the office. McDonald's says that companies are arguing that it is beneficial for new employees to come to work in the office. This will align them with the company's mission and enhance their relationships with co-workers. But, this argument of the employees is not being accepted. McDonald's says that no matter how hard companies try, work from home is not going to end. Of the job postings done online in January 2023, 28 per cent were for remote work.
