Mumbai. The market capitalization of the Indian stock market has crossed Rs 292 lakh crore for the first time in the history of Indian Stock market. Prior to this on December 14, 2022, it set a record of Rs 291.25 lakh crore. This is due to the steady rise in mid and small cap stocks and the return of foreign investors in the current financial year.
According to data, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) index was trading in decline on Thursday. But this capitalization crossed Rs 292 lakh crore during the day. Sensex and Nifty have gained 10 percent in the last three months and are now close to their all-time highs.
Nifty midcap rose by 16 percent
According to the data, in the last three months Nifty midcap has risen by 16 percent and small cap by 17 percent. According to analysts, the direct impact of lower inflation rates, the fastest growth in the economy and other positive factors is being seen on the market. Goldman Sachs estimates that the Nifty may cross the 20,000 mark by March. Analysts say that Sensex and Nifty can stay bullish from here. Because the rate of inflation and economic growth in the whole world is less than that of India. In this way, the Indian market will continue to be the preferred market for investors. Foreign investors have invested Rs 66,730 crore in the Indian equity market since April in the current financial year. 11,631 crore in April, 43,838 crore in May and 11,261 crore in June so far. These investors withdrew Rs 1.21 lakh crore from the market last year. But this year they are investing heavily.
